Great Danes

We had two black Great Danes when I was growing up. So, I was in love with Danes from childhood on. My own first Great Dane was a fawn boy from Sasdania Great Danes named Thunder…Sasdania’s Days of Thunder (the fawn boy to the right).  He didn’t like showing one little bit, but I sure did! Yes, I caught the dog show bug. So, I went back to Steve to get my harlequin male Mister aka Sasdania’s Masterpiece.

But I didn’t get my first champion until Cleo, CH. Sasdania’s Cleo V Masterpiece, came along. That was it! Then I was definitely hooked. Cleo’s daughter Jewel, CH. Masterpiece’s Jewel of Nile, finished at 22 months. Jewel recently passed over and you may see more of her on our Rainbow Bridge page.

Now its Jewel’s kids turn! Trudi, Masterpiece’s True Gem, is now American and Canadian Champion and her brother Dean, Masterpiece’s Greatest Escape, is just starting out.

It is so hard to believe it all started 17 years ago with a little fawn guy…well, maybe a not-so-little fawn guy!
